Abduction

The demons bright yellow eyes turned to the billowing flags above the towers peaks. It stood tall and proud, almost defiantly, much like its queen. Dusk. The proud, stubborn vampire who ruled behind its walls and corridors. It was almost a mockery.
Kierens gaze then turned to the castles gates and without so much as a thought they burst open almost inviting him within its depths.
A fanged smile spread across his dark features. A few stray strands of hair blow gentle around, almost like a slow caress of the nights breeze.
He rolled his shoulders as his massive black feathered wings retracted back into place. It was time to take down the arrogant vampire a few notches.
His steps were slow and calm as he walked nonchalantly into the castles walls. Countless guards and soldiers surrounded him only to be killed instantly from the inside out without any physical action from the demon.
He continued his careless walk up the stairs, his targets already within sight.
Two children stood, their eyes wide in shock and horror as he made his way towards them.
"Don't you dare lay a hand on them!" The vampires voice boomed through the castle, echoing off the walls. She stood off just a few yards away on the opposing balcony.
He sent her a smug grin before answering, "Or what?"
She made to lunge at him even from that distance but she stopped dead in her tracks. Her breath ceased and she crumpled to the floor screaming.
"Ah, ah," Kieren cautioned as he materialized next to her. He flicked a strand of her hair away from her face as he ran a gentle hand over her cheek, "You'll see them again. . . someday. If not whole, then in pieces. Don't worry, I'll take good care of the little vamps, they'll serve me well,"His gaze flashed up to meet that of the little girls' who clung desperately to her brother, "Especially the little female." a devilish grin of anticipation appeared on his face again as he turned his attention back to the cursing Queen, "Perhaps then you will learn not to be so cocky."
"Bastard!" She yelled, making a failed attempt to strike at him but he was already gone, both children in his arms as he exited the same way he came in; as if he had not one care in the world.

  1. “Let me go!” cried the frightened Airin, wriggling feebly in the demon’s grasp with Cyrus pounding his fists weakly against the creature’s chest. The demon appeared unfazed, his focus entirely on his predetermined route. Quite abruptly, he stopped mid stroll and summoned the forsaken black of his wings as he shot skyward with the force like that of a rocket. Airin’s screams mingled with her brother’s, the strength of the passing wind pushing them deeper into the demon’s grasp. At the speed they were traveling, it took only near a minute to reach their destination. The incredible sound of shattering wood filled the young princess’s ears, immediately after which she was thrown onto the barren earth floor. She climbed to her knees, noting subconsciously their location, all the while making her way to her brother. They had arrived in a large wooden shack, a large gaping hole prevalent in the ceiling as a sign of their entrance and, judging by the foliage visible through it, it was located in a forest like area… far from the reaches of civilization.
“Cyrus!” called Airin, crawling vigorously to him. He grunted as she placed a tender hand on his shoulder, blood already trickling down his temple from the impact of the fall.
“A… Airin,” he groaned, his hand hovering over his mouth, drawing attention to his slightly elongated fangs. He had been complaining all morning how they were beginning to bother him, a sign that the start of his maturation cycle was drawing near. If that were so, then Airin herself would be…
“Time’s up,” the demon tsked. With great, tangible power, Cyrus was thrown to the other side of the shack and smacked violently into the wall, leaving a large dent at the site of impact as he slumped back to the ground. Airin snapped her head to the demon and jumped to her feet, clenching her trembling hands into fists at her sides.
“D-Don’t hurt him!” Her voice shook terribly, the authority of her command dwindling with every nervous breath. Nevertheless, she remained firm as she stood her ground, a stern look drawn upon her face. The demon merely cackled in amusement.
“I see you’ve inherited Dusk’s faults,” he snarled, the ominous gold of his eyes darting to several areas of her person. Airin grit her teeth as a sharp pain struck at her canines. No… not yet! She blinked, reasserting her glare as the demon’s gaze once more met her own. “Remove your dress.”
She swallowed, tempted to ask why she should do as he say, but for one he was obviously a very powerful creature… She and Cyrus had bared witness to the might of his power when he was able to subdue their mother without even lifting a finger… He could kill anyone with just a thought; anyone… including Airin… and-

  2. “ARGH!” Airin’s heart rate spiked, the adrenaline immediately pulsing through her veins, as Cyrus’s murderous shrieks of pain filled the room and echoed vainly far out to the trees above. She turned and watched in horror that froze her where she stood as Cyrus writhed furiously in his anguish. There was hardly a breath between the bone-chilling cries, each one more horrible than the last. Airin returned her attention to the demon, who had remained just expressionless as before.
“Stop! Please!” Airin screamed. The intensity of the screams grew in response. She began to panic. “I’ll do it, okay?! Just please, STOP IT!!!!”
At once, it grew silent. Her heart almost stilled in shock and terror. Glancing back, she saw with great relief that he was still breathing and hadn’t been killed.
“Remove. Your. Dress,” the demon repeated, a slight air of impatience filtering his voice. Airin’s hands shook more so than ever, no longer in fists, as they reached behind to the tie of her ribbon lined across her midsection all the while never severing eye contact with the creature. The bow undone, her delicate hands found the handle of the zipper situated high between her shoulder blades and maneuvered her arms to better grip and pull it down. His observant gaze never wavered to hint the thoughts running through his head, even as her dress fell lamely to the floor. She stood there for the longest time, wondering if there was more he wanted her to do, but his sigh of grief saved her the trouble of asking him.
“Small for your age, aren’t you?” She didn’t answer, glaring as she attempted to keep fearful tears from forming in her eyes. He moved, for the first time since they’re arrival, and rose to his feet, the terrifying look in his gaze growing so prominent that it made Airin tremble. “Then I’ll tell you right now… This is going to hurt…” He casually removed his shirt, a most devilish smile lining his already wickedly beautiful face. “… A lot.”
“… A-Airin, no…” rasped a weakened Cyrus. I’m not going to let him hurt you, thought Airin, but knowing deep down her efforts were fruitless. Her fears were recognized as the demon’s gaze flickered instantly to her brother.
    “Don’t worry. You’ll be next.”
“No-!” screamed Airin, her protest cut short as immeasurable pain coursed through her tiny body. The final act of despair struck her hard when the test of endurance began as, even with the agony of feeling like every atom of her being was being split in two, she felt the demon maliciously toy with her body and mind as he pleased.

  3. The commotion outside is what brought the young prince to his feet, otherwise he would have stayed there in his saddened stoop. Airin and Cyrus were gone, taken by a powerful creature that had been identified as a demon. He could do nothing. Oh, he fought with every fiber of his body to help, he tried several times to convince the adults that he could be useful but to no avail.
So yes, the commotion outside had gotten him up... the agonized screech that tore free from the Vampire Queen's throat is what had him moving at a dead run. He skidded to a stop and nearly forgot how to breathe. There on a monitor was a video feed. Dusk's children were curled onto their sides, screaming from intense pain. His eyes flickered from Cyrus to Airin. The utter anguish that was evident in their faces had his heart racing and yet he couldn't help but draw his focus to Airin. That was what infuriated him the most. She was there, with that monster, defenseless and now undergoing her cycle.
No. The word rang through his mind as the soft growl of his inner dark wolf resounded through him.
He wouldn't let anything happen to them. Regardless of what the adults said, the young prince found himself suiting up. He knew he stood little to no chance against a full grown demon, but he sure as hell wasnt about to wait for the others to act. By then. . . it would be too late.
No. He would stand against the odds for her, for her brother.
He swung a cloak around his shoulders and placed the hood over his head. His sky blue eyes smoldered like cool embers as his determination to find and save Airin and Cyrus coursed through his veins like a drug.
Without so much as sparing a glance back, Devlyn stood on his window sill for only a moment, before he jumped down. He landed gracfully onto the ground with a roll and jumped to his feet.
He called upon his power over darkness, using it to find the demon. It wasnt long before he found himself dashing forward towards the source, the darkness of the demon becoming a strong beacon of hope that he would get there on time...

  4. He moved from her side, leaving Airin writhing naked and cold with sweat upon the dirt floor. Her body ached horribly, his spell of endless pain leaving her, only to be replaced with the agonizing effects of the maturation cycle. The fangs of an adult vampire began to grow in, leaving her throat parched along with the strain of her screams. Bruises began to form, tears fell from her eyes as the brunt of the agony lied within her lower abdomen. She was so dizzy, her mind so lazy with pain, that it took all of her strength to remain awake. Airin couldn’t last much longer. God… she was going to die. Her heart sank as Cyrus’ cries of mercy filled the room once more, knowing the demon had already begun his torture. I’m so sorry, Cyrus… Her face scrunched horribly as an onslaught of salt-water burst from her very heart… I’m so, so sorry…
The sound of crashing wood filled her ears once more and Airin couldn’t bear to think what more was being done to Cyrus, yet when a pair of small boots entered her vision Airin’s heart became alit with hope, however small. The newcomer knelt down next to her, his face now within her vision, and if she had not still be preoccupied with cries and moans of pain Airin would have gasped in shock. No… run, she tried to say. Please! Not you! Her eyes drooped, ignoring the absurd vampiric instinct to strike at him for his blood, as the sight of her beloved Devlyn grew foggy and black… I can’t bear lose you, too…

  5. "Don't worry Airin, I'll get you out of here." He whispered softly to her, hoping that it would be enough to keep her going. His eyes flashed up to the demon and Devlyn's heart nearly stopped when he saw the horrid things the demon was doing to Cyrus. His body completely covering the young vampire's body. His screams bouncing off the shaking walls.
"You're a sick bastard." Devlyn stood, hoping to draw the demons attention to him. . . it worked. The massive form of the male stood from his position, a slow steady smile lined his shockingly handsome face.
"I do hope they aren't insulting me by sending a half pint like you. . . oh," a sudden realization seemed to take place in the demons expression as he moved away from Cyrus and towards Devlyn. "You are the little god of darkness. Well, that changes EVERYTHING." The demons fangs protruded out of his mouth. A frightening snarl tore free as the demon sent out a dark based attack.
Devlyn deflected it, his knowledge having saved him from certain death. It seemed like a battle of true darkness, dark creatrue versus dark creature. Devlyn stood his ground well but he was no match for Kieren for the demon quickly picked up that mental and dark attacks would have no effect on the young prince. . . but physically. . .
Kieren lunged, catching Devlyn on the shoulder. Devlyn snarled as he fell beside Airin and the pure agony that reflected on her face was enough to kick his determination into high gear. He cast a veil of darkness around Cyrus and Airin, hoping it would be enough to relieve some pain and hold them off until help arrived. It also acted as a shield from the demon, and Kieren was not pleased.
Just as he poised to strike the walls seemed to shatter around them. Wolves in their massive forms burst in along side menacing vampires, one of which being Dusk.
"Darn, looks like the party is over." Kieren laughed as he straightened and stood before them all. "Took you people long enough, next time, listen to mittens over here, he might know what hes talking about." He sent Dusk a wink. " Your daughter was fun. . . I might just revisit this little moment again. And don't even get me started on your boy over there." A demonic laugh filled the room, followed by several responding growls.
His gaze turned back to Devlyn who clutched at his wounded shoulder.
"I will see you, later." And he was gone. Dusk rushed forward to her kids sending Devlyn a glare to release them.
"Sorry." He with a wave of his hand the darkness dissipated and revealed the two young vampires.
"Devlyn!" His mother filled his line of vision as she tended to his wound.
"That was extremely stupid, god damn it Devlyn! You could have died! You're just like your father, stupid and reckless. You two will be the death of me, i swear it!" He let his mother ramble on, his entire focus was on Airin anyway. He wanted to know if she was ok, if she was to make it but no one would tell him. Of course they wouldn't. . . he was a wolf. . . she a vampire. That was all the adults ever saw.
