To him, humans were mere toys, objects used for enjoyment and entertainment and nothing more. They were weak, fragile, and frankly the majority of them were impotent. They committed every sin imaginable, lied, cheated, killed one another like animals, and had no regard for the higher order. So then why the fuck did they hold such a special place in the universe? The battles that ensued between angels and demons were for their fate, their survival. Little shits took everything for granted.
"Please! Please don't! Don't kill my baby!" The demon's yellow gaze found a small woman clinging desperately to his leg.
Her light brown eyes were round with fear as she pleaded for the life of her child. Promising to never sin, to never again disobey the laws of God. . . Such empty promises fell onto deaf ears.
Kieren knelt next to the woman, his hand landing gently on her shoulder as if to calm her, only as he leaned in his grip tightened painfully upon her and she cried out in pain.
"You lie." Within a fraction of a heart beat, the babe was in his arms, and with a gut wrenching snap, he broke the childs neck and let it drop limply onto the floor.
"No! God, No! Why? Why would you do such a thing?! Are you not an angel? How can you-"
Her rant was cut abruptly short when his hand enclosed around her throat. Sniveling little swine. . . how dare she assume him an angel! Did the bitch not know the difference? I will show you how wrong you are.
"No. I am far from the beings of light whom you so foolishly call upon. This, " He motioned to the destruction and chaos that blossomed around him. "its not Armageddon. . . yet. If it were, I am sure we would see those pussies here trying to defend you. I am a demon. . . in fact, I am the worst demon you could have possibly met. But you'll get to know me soon enough bitch, I'll see you in hell."
"No-"Her shriek was lost amongst the howls of pain that had erupted from the surviving people. Her body dropped next to her child, literally torn in two so that each half laid on either side of her child.
This is what they fight for. Foolish.
Kieren's eyes flashed up towards the sky challengingly, noting how it was now streaked in red, matching the very rivers of blood that flowed through the city of Pompeii. This was truly sickening. Another reason to not take over the throne. For what? To inherit a battle against God for these weaklings? No. Kieren had greater plans than that. He was made and created as the true successor to Lucifer's throne. It seemed that God himself created him to take Lucifer down, and as such he was constantly pressured into attacking. To take his power and once and for all, take victory for the demons, but Kieren had his own agenda.
His gaze turned to the volcano's mouth and smiled eagerly. Soon the world will know of his power, but for now, he had to rid himself of any evidence of what was buried here. Any and all remnants of what occurred had to be erased and wiped, and so he raised his hand, with it the volcano awoke. The ground trembled viciously as molten lava exploded from its core and tossed a blanket of fire onto the earth. The red sky darkened with its ashes and smoke, the air thickening to the point where all the oxygen was robbed from the land.
He had what he had come for, and with a malicious laugh, the demon prince vanished from the site, leaving all to believe that an unfortunate natural disaster had occurred; knowing know one would know how wrong they were.

Abduction
The demons bright yellow eyes turned to the billowing flags above the towers peaks. It stood tall and proud, almost defiantly, much like its queen. Dusk. The proud, stubborn vampire who ruled behind its walls and corridors. It was almost a mockery.
Kierens gaze then turned to the castles gates and without so much as a thought they burst open almost inviting him within its depths.
A fanged smile spread across his dark features. A few stray strands of hair blow gentle around, almost like a slow caress of the nights breeze.
He rolled his shoulders as his massive black feathered wings retracted back into place. It was time to take down the arrogant vampire a few notches.
His steps were slow and calm as he walked nonchalantly into the castles walls. Countless guards and soldiers surrounded him only to be killed instantly from the inside out without any physical action from the demon.
He continued his careless walk up the stairs, his targets already within sight.
Two children stood, their eyes wide in shock and horror as he made his way towards them.
"Don't you dare lay a hand on them!" The vampires voice boomed through the castle, echoing off the walls. She stood off just a few yards away on the opposing balcony.
He sent her a smug grin before answering, "Or what?"
She made to lunge at him even from that distance but she stopped dead in her tracks. Her breath ceased and she crumpled to the floor screaming.
"Ah, ah," Kieren cautioned as he materialized next to her. He flicked a strand of her hair away from her face as he ran a gentle hand over her cheek, "You'll see them again. . . someday. If not whole, then in pieces. Don't worry, I'll take good care of the little vamps, they'll serve me well,"His gaze flashed up to meet that of the little girls' who clung desperately to her brother, "Especially the little female." a devilish grin of anticipation appeared on his face again as he turned his attention back to the cursing Queen, "Perhaps then you will learn not to be so cocky."
"Bastard!" She yelled, making a failed attempt to strike at him but he was already gone, both children in his arms as he exited the same way he came in; as if he had not one care in the world.
